Checklist of SEO Best Practices Before the Year EndsInk Well Mag October 14, 2016 0 COMMENTS
The year is about to come to a close. Have you been doing SEO right? Some practices have evolved or are no longer in use because they are no longer effective. Did you change your strategy at the beginning of 2016 or did you stay the course?
Certain strategies may have helped you. If you have yet to implement any of these, it’s not too late.
A search engine optimization strategy, says PurpleClick Media, is incomplete without incorporating social media platforms. This has been a trend for a couple of years now, and will still be relevant moving forward. Have you used sites such as Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram or Vine to promote products or services? You don’t have to use all of these to promote your brand; you just have to use the most effective one for your campaign. This is also an important venue to manage your company’s reputation and to identify the needs and wants of your target market.
Videos, the King and Queen of Content
Videos are gaining popularity as search engines and people’s content preferences evolve. This multimedia platform can deliver everything a viewer needs to know in approximately a minute. It also enables you to cover a lot of ground, when it comes to conveying your value proposition and brand message. This type of content allows you to display emotion, which is a powerful influencer.
The importance of mobile is increasing as more and more people are using their devices to look for places to go to and shops, and anything else. If your brand is using technology to gain competitive advantage, you’re on the right track.
Length of Content
Longer articles, upwards of 1,000 words, will become important to your content marketing strategy. People want information-rich posts. The longer your post is, the more in-depth you can go because you are able to cover more topics.
If you ticked-off any of these on your SEO strategy checklist, you are on the right track until the year ends, or even until the next few years.
